Understand and Manage Your Finances

Circle offers Allstate’s Moving Ahead Curriculum to help survivors better understand and manage their finances during and after an abusive relationship. Financial abuse is extremely common in domestic violence and can leave survivors and their children in dangerous positions. Circle advocates provide the Allstate curriculum, and other financial literacy tools, to help survivors rebuild their lives.

According to Allstate, “While most people think only of physical abuse when they consider domestic violence, financial abuse occurs in 99% of all cases of domestic violence. It’s an invisible weapon that keeps victims trapped in abusive relationships.
